Provide support to the Human Resource Generalist in all phases of human resource activity, Plant Manager and other departments as needed. Must be professional with the ability to multi-task and have superior customer service skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Assist in preparation and coordination of new hires including interviewing, new hire paperwork and general policies.
Conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Assist with benefits and compensation administration and compliance.
Assist with employee performance reviews, employee increases, employee issues and terminations.
Assist with safety audits and accident investigations.
Assist with special projects as required such as annual open enrollment, annual employee performance reviews, and quarterly workers compensation reviews.
Perform receptionist duties such as answering phones, taking messages, greeting vendors and customers, help in the receipt and shipment of small packages.
Assist with ordering office supplies.
Prepare and distribute records of meetings and productivity reports.
Coordinate meetings, luncheons and special events.
Make travel, auto and lodging reservations.
Record, track and confirm appointments.
Special projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Prefer AA degree plus two to three years related experience. Minimally: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus three to five years human resources experience.
Prefer light accounting experience, experience with travel arrangements, meeting planning and bi-lingual, English-Spanish.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, vendors, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
